Moire Patterns
   Moire patterns are the result of viewing two regularly-repeating geometrical patterns that are placed atop each other. In this case, a perforated screen is being rotated in front of another perforated screen in the gate of a slide projector. The mechanical slide that accomplishes this is shown below, being held by Jack Judson of San Antonio, Texas. This is part of the extensive Judson Collection at the Magic Lantern Museum in San Antonio.
