Most of what is in the Kenyon College Physics News are seminars/talks that the department hosts every Friday afternoon at 3-4 p.m. on physics related topics. There is also a Physics Dept. lunch at noon on Fridays, but alas no pictures of it. There has been a recent addition to the Kenyon Science Quad, the Henry Moore sculpture.
	Henry Moore donates a sculpture titled, "The Large Spindle Piece." Check out some pictures of its installation.
	Date: October 4, 2002 Senior Ben K., talks on his research with Professor Frank Peiris.
	Date: October 11, 2002 Staff member, Terry Klopic, talks on engineering and a research project he started at MIT.
	Date: October 25, 2002 Alumni Karen Leppik '98, talks on her trip to the South Pole and the research done there.

	Date: November 1, 2002 Professor Keith Rielage, does a talk on his research of Cosmic Rays.
	Date: November 8, 2002 Alumni Keith Kalinowski '69, talks on his work with the Hubble Space Telescope and future plans for the project.
	Date: November 15, 2002 Professor Thomas Humanic, from Ohio State University talks on his research on quarks and atomic particles.

	Date: January 24, 2003 Yumi Ijiri decribes how nanometer-size magnetic particles and films are being used to improve computer hard-disk drives.
	Date: February 7, 2003 Peter Palffy-Muhoray talks on his research of liquid crystals at Kent State Liquid Crystal Institute.
	Date: February 21, 2003 Michael Turner, a Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar, talks about his research in the broad field of cosmology.
